Digital Product Pricing Strategies


Job Description

The digital pricing analyst is responsible for developing flexible charging & dynamic pricing models delivered through IT capabilities to match with customer expectations in the digital economy for products of the business. Duties include providing thorough analytical breakdowns of pricing structures and sales funnels of similar competitor products and services and identifying specific strategies used in pricing models of the same. Reports are written in order to evaluate the findings and to propose the results to the relevant departments for effect.

Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for analyzing product/service pricing vis-à-vis market pricing to deliver a new flexible charging and dynamic pricing models
  • Identifying pricing actions that encourage higher sale values, pipeline conversion rates, inelasticity, margin rates and customer satisfaction
  • Prepare and present pricing analysis with insights, trends and models that translate into product pricing strategies as well as working with IT team for final deliverable
  • Deep understanding and insight of dynamic pricing strategy and how it can be implemented into our digitalized network services to drive SPTel's revenue and profit margins
  • Mine large amounts of clickstream and transactional data to develop a deep understanding of SPTel clients
  • Own the prerogative for pricing insight generation and support rapid prototyping within the Product function. This includes working closely with Product Managers to see through analytics projects/product interventions from start to finish
  • Develop and maintain pricing tools (i.e. elasticity of demand calculators) and profitability models
  • Monitor input costing changes and develop sensitivity analysis thresholds to provide reporting on potential changes to product prices
  • Lead pricing-related projects including establishing timelines, defining deliverables, and drafting communications or presentations
  • Responsible for calculation of Business case for customers by sites to evaluate profitability of sites due to changes bandwidth requirement & evaluate overall impact on the original business case.

Requirements

 

 

  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience in a fast-paced analytical environment, involving complex range of options.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Economics/Finance required, with relevant IT knowledge is a plus
  • Financial management experience with planning, forecasting, and business analysis
  • Experience in e-commerce industry (preferred) or digital transformation projects within the pricing function
  • Work cross-functionally throughout the organization to drive analysis-driven change and projects.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines & work under pressure.
  • Demonstrates complex problem resolution proficiency and the ability to identify/implement process and system enhancements
  • Proficiency with analytical and presentation tools (eg. Excel pivot tables, SQL queries, graphing, PowerPoint)
  • Keen Interest and knowledge of BI tools and practical experience analyzing data, program metrics, and performance will be an added advantage
