Production / Snr. Production Technician / Up to 3.5K / West


Job Description

* Shift hour, morning shift / afternoon shift
* Location: West
* Basic + AWS + VB + Shift Allowances + Transport Allowances
* Follow one of the shift available (current shift #1 is 6.30am to 3pm or shift #2 is 2.15pm till 10.45pm)
* Experience in chemical blending plant / chemical process industry / chemical manufacturing industry
* Certified forklift driver or having previous experience driving forklift is a must
* Permanent role

Our client is a global specialty chemical company

Responsibilities
Maintain good housekeeping in the workstation and production area.
Prepare packaging material by pasting hazard & product label.
Transferring of material from batching area to production area using forklift.
Charging of raw material using pumps or manually into process vessel as per SOP.
Perform in-process controls for pH / viscosity and adjust batch by adding recommended materials.
Conduct QC checks for the products manufactured using pH meter, viscometer & hydrometer.
Packaging of the product into specified containers using hoses, diaphragm pump, filter housing and filling machine.
Cleaning of process vessel, collection of wast water and coordinate with waste collector to dispose waste chemicals.
Recording of raw material batch number, bar code scanning, quantity, manufacturing hours, wastewater and close the production process orders
Raising PR / PO for production supplies
Operate manufacturing equipment, valves, pumps and record readings from the process control instruments.
Identify equipment breakdown and fix if it is minor issue.
Active participation in Tool-box meetings and Risk Assessment.
Familiarize with production procedures, WI, SWP & records.
Perform minor plant & equipment maintenance.
Assisting in the coordination with Warehouse Department on timely supply and delivery of raw material to ensure smooth production flow
Requirements:
Diploma in Chemical Engineering or Nitec in Chemical Engineering or Secondary School Leaving
Certificate
Ability to transfer powder raw materials with buddy system from 25KG powder bags into process vessel.
Able to work on rotating shifts (1st shift 6:30am to 3pm and 2nd shift 2:15pm to 10:45pm).
Physically fit, energetic and hard working
Experience with Risk Assessment, process safety, lean manufacturing (kaizen) and maintenance will be considered as added advantage
Certified first aider or fire fighter or ERP member or confined space entry will be considered as added advantage
