Assistant Manager, Supply Chain & Operations (6 months Contract / Chemical MNC)


Job Description

→ Preferably 3 years of exp. in supply chain management
→ Work Location: Suntec Tower
→ European Chemical MNC
→ Working hours: 8.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Fridays
→ 6 months Contract role for maternity coverage, able to start work in Jul'19


Objectives:

 

Regional role as key representative from Business Unit (BU) in ensuring the efficient and smooth operations of finished goods & raw material planning, inventory management and purchasing for five Engineering Plastics plants in Asia Pacific.
Frequent interaction and collaboration with global counterparts i.e. HK, Europe, US as well as other regions and business units to assure effective operations throughout the supply chain.
Strengthen and support RBU to achieve SC performance KPIs and manage supply chain process in the area of planning, sourcing, production, delivering at the most efficient way.

 


Job Responsibilities:

Finished Goods / Raw Material Planning

  • Planning and sourcing finished goods (PBT) for distribution to Asia Pacific (AP) customers.
  • Planning and sourcing key raw material (PBT) across the Engineering Plastics AP plants. Align the stock, incoming & consumption with inventory level.
  • Consolidate, review and submit the short & mid-term raw materials forecast to suppliers for Engineering Plastics AP plants on monthly basis.
  • Manage exceptional situations including supply shortage. Plan allocation based on priority, transferring of materials from other plants or purchasing from alternative suppliers.
  • Attend to the customers enquiry on material availability check and SC matters

Purchasing and order management

  • Plan replenishment and create Purchasing order of key raw material (PBT) from internal sourcing for the plants
  • Review the replenishment from the plant and create Purchasing order for raw materials from internal sourcing for the plants
  • Monitor shipment, document distribution ensuring meeting production requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with Global/Regional suppliers & service providers to ensure the requirement is met.
  • Liaise closely with local logistics team for urgent shipments and actual arrivals of cargo for immediate customs clearance; coordinate the COD if necessary.

Inventory management including raw material redeployment

  • Initiate and lead stock optimization actions including aging stock management, redeployment, sell-off, write-off for Asia Pacific plants & warehouses
  • Implement the relocation of raw material based on the agreed process within Asia Pacific plant in case of shortage or excessive to optimize the inventory level and production

Return/NCM Management

  • As an investigator/ coordinator for logistics complaints.
  • Manage return process and settlement due to NCM.

Others

  • Support process harmonization/standardization across all countries in Asia Pacific
  • Support Campus for their material requirement
  • Participate in monthly Supply review and Sales & Operational planning meeting
  • Support in operational planning process
  • Work with product stewardship, technical product management & supplier for new Specification Agreement.
  • Key contact on PO with discrepancy.
  • Responsible for new vendor creation, purchasing info record and work with service platform for maintenance etc
  • Backup role for other Regional planner on master production planning and key raw material planning & purchasing

 

Job Requirement

  • Diploma or Bachelor-Degree in Supply Chain & Logistics management
  • Min 3 years' experience in Supply Chain Management
  • SAP Material Master/MM & SD Module, Int' trading (SAP is a must)
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
